The award-winning Buckhorn Festival of the Arts returned for its 46th year on August 19 and 20 and was a huge success.
It featured a huge lineup of over 70 artists spread across 10 acres both inside the Buckhorn Community Centre and outside in the Festival Park’s eleven buildings. Some artists came with nationally recognized awards and others with international reputations.
The KawarthaNOW online publication (kawarthaNOW.com) reported by Megan Gallant in its “Arts & Entertainment” section for Thursday August 8 on the new artist Harvey Bodach participating in this Festival. The caption under his painting “Escarpment Limestone Nook with Lynx Preparing for Winter Hunt” indicated that he was one of several new artists at the Buckhorn Festival of the Arts. Harvey came to this Festival as a nationally recognized award winning artist with 16 acrylic painting and drawing originals with 14 in giclée print options.
